FRESH BLOOD 2012

FRESH BLOOD features interesting, innovative and surprising works by emerging Canadian choreographers in any dance form.
Now in its third year, FRESH BLOOD takes place at Harbourfront Centre's Enwave Theatre.
All choreographers will receive a professional DVD of their piece. Choreographers who participated in FRESH BLOOD last year are welcome to apply again this year.
To Apply Send:
- Biography and/or history of choreographer / group
- Contact information including address, email and phone number
- Footage of proposed piece or previously performed work - can be from a rehearsal and in studio
- Proposed piece description
- Application fee of $20 made out to The Chimera Project Dance Theatre
Requirements
- Emerging choreographers, companies or collectives led by choreographers with under 5 years of professional choreographic experience
- Innovation in the work - any dance form and/or style is eligible and encouraged
- Maximum 5 minutes of length of the piece
- Minimal technical requirements (Choreographers will get a very minimal tech and a lighting wash)
- Being available to attend the technical rehearsal on March 15th or 16th, 2012 and for performance on March 16th or 17th, 2012 or both.
- Submissions must be postmarked on or before October 20, 2011. The company takes no responsibility for materials in transit i.e. items that were not received by us at all, or got lost in the mail on their way back to you. Please do not send originals or only copies.
